Ukrainian parliament appoints Kyrylenko as Anti-Monopoly Committee Head
Members of the Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament) have supported the candidacy of Pavlo Kyrylenko, former Head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, for the position of head of the Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine on 6 September.

Details: There were 250 votes in favour, 3 against, 27 abstentions, and 53 MPs did not take part in the vote.

Holos (Voice) – 0;

For reference: Pavlo Kyrylenko, 37, graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy of Ukraine with a degree in law.
He started his career in the prosecution bodies in 2008. During his 11 years of service, he has held the following positions: assistant prosecutor, department prosecutor, deputy prosecutor, prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's Office, and head of the investigation department.
In 2017, he was appointed Military Prosecutor of the Uzhhorod Garrison in the Western Region of Ukraine.
In 2019, by presidential decree, he was appointed head of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration and head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration.
Background:
Earlier, it was reported that the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, Olha Pishchanska, was resigning and was appointed head of the State Property Fund instead of Rustem Umierov, and that Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, would chair the Antimonopoly Committee.
Kyrylenko's resignation was agreed on Tuesday.
