State Department responds to question about a visit by Blinken to Kyiv
The State Department commented on the information that appeared in the media about a possible visit of Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, to Kyiv.
The comments were made at a briefing by Vedant Patel, deputy spokesperson of the US State Department.
He did not confirm any information about a trip by Blinken to Ukraine.
"I don't have any updates on any official travel for the State Department," Patel said.
Previously, ZN.ua had said, citing its sources that Antony Blinken would visit Kyiv on 6 September. However, no details about Blinken's trip were provided.
The last time Blinken visited Ukraine was a year ago. Back then, no details were disclosed ahead of his visit, either.
