Ukrainian parliament accepts Umierov's resignation as head of State Property Fund
At a meeting on 5 September, Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, accepted the resignation of Rustem Umierov, Head of the State Property Fund, who is to take up the post of Defence Minister.

Details: The vote was cast by 302 MPs.
"We are waiting for a proposal from the President to appoint him Minister of Defence of Ukraine today, and tomorrow we will vote," Zhelezniak added.
Background: Earlier in the day, the Parliament accepted the resignation of Oleksii Reznikov as Minister of Defence.
On 4 September, Rustem Umierov, who is to replace Oleksii Reznikov as Defence Minister, submitted his resignation as head of the State Property Fund to the Verkhovna Rada.
On 3 September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that he had decided to relieve Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov of his duties, and that Rustem Umierov would take his place.
Following this, Oleksii Reznikov submitted his resignation from the post of Defence Minister to the Verkhovna Rada and expressed his readiness to provide a report on his term of office.
