We are one nation: Putin greets Russians on occasion to mark annexing of Ukrainian territories
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has recorded a video message on the occasion marking the "Day of Reunification" of the Russian Federation with four Ukrainian oblasts.

Quote: "I greet you on the Day of Reunification of Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts, with Russia.
A year ago, on 30 September, a crucial, truly historical and momentous event took place: agreements were signed on the accession of four new subjects of the Federation into Russia. Millions of residents of Donbas, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts made their choice to be with their homeland."

- On 30 September, Vladimir Putin signed the "agreement on the accession to Russia" of the occupied Ukrainian territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts and declared that henceforth, residents of these territories are citizens of the Russian Federation.
