IAEA Director General Grossi to serve another 4-year term in office
The General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) supported the appointment of Rafael Mariano Grossi as Director General of the agency for the next four years on 25 September, with his tenure starting December 2023.

Details: The conference, in particular, noted Grossi's efforts to ensure nuclear safety and security in Ukraine.

For reference: Grossi entered his first term in office on 2 December 2019 after approval. His second term will begin on 3 December this year and run until 2 December 2027. He is the sixth Director General since the IAEA was founded in 1957.
