The Ukrainian servicemen are being trained to detect explosive devices, approach and defuse them safely, and assess threats.

"The UK Defence Ministry will provide hope for a safer Ukraine, helping make the country safe for civilians and military personnel," the ministry added.

The Defence Ministry additionally reported that at Ukraine’s request, it has supplied more than 1,500 sets of equipment for mine clearance and neutralising explosive objects.

"More mine-clearance capabilities are expected to be announced in the next round of funding from the UK-led International Fund for Ukraine, which has raised £770 million from partners to supply military equipment to Ukraine," the UK Defence Ministry added.

Operation Interflex is underway in the UK, with ten allied countries training the Ukrainian military.
