Moscow airports halt operations: likely afraid of drones
Moscow airports suspended arrivals and departures on Sunday evening, 24 September, likely because the Russians were expecting Ukrainian drone strikes.

Details: Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports were reportedly out of action, and flights at Sheremetyevo were also delayed.
The Russians failed to give an official reason, but Radio Liberty points out that such restrictions are usually imposed when Ukrainian kamikaze drones are approaching the Russian capital.
Meanwhile, there were no reports of air defence operations in Russia's Moscow Oblast this time.
Background:
- Earlier, the authorities of Tula Oblast in Russia reported shooting down a drone. Before that, the airspace in the oblast was closed.
- The Russian Defence Ministry also reported that a drone had been shot down in the country's Bryansk Oblast.
- And reports of air defence operations in Russian-occupied Crimea near the city of Sevastopol once again emerged on social media.
