Details: Zelenskyy noted that he presented Ukraine’s Peace Formula last year at the G20 summit. This formula in general terms represents a way to end Russia's war against Ukraine, and Zelenskyy plans to present it at the Security Council meeting on Wednesday, 20 September.
Quote: "Over the past year, the Peace Formula became the basis to update the existing security architecture. Now we can bring back to life the UN Charter and guarantee the full power for the rules-based world order," Zelenskyy said.
He added that the Peace Formula is fully or partially supported by over 140 states and international organisations, and its provisions could become the basis for ending other world conflicts.
"We launched the format of meetings between national security advisers and diplomatic representatives. Important talks and consultations will be held in Hiroshima, in Copenhagen and in Jeddah on the implementation of the Peace Formula. And we are preparing a Global Peace Summit. And, please, I invite all of you, all of you who do not tolerate any aggression, to jointly prepare the summit," Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy also rejected any "shady dealings" with Russia, citing the example of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Wagner Group leader who was killed in a plane crash.
Background: Earlier, Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the President’s Office, said he hoped it would be possible to hold the Peace Formula summit as early as this autumn.
