EU calls upon Poland, Hungary and Slovakia to be "constructive" about Ukrainian grain imports
The European Commission called upon Poland, Hungary and Slovakia to be constructive after declaring a unilateral extension of the ban on Ukrainian grain imports.

Quote: "We are aware of some Member States' announcements in respect to unilateral measures. What is important right now is that all countries work in the spirit of compromise and engage constructively."
The Commission added that at the moment it focuses on implementing the new system, announced on 15 September, and making it work.
Moreover, the meeting with the representatives of all EU member states involved will be held on 18 September for discussing topical issues concerning the import of Ukrainian grain.
