She called for Ukraine’s critical infrastructure to be protected during the forthcoming cold season of the year.
"So I am appealing to ourselves and to our partners: we must put a protective winter umbrella over Ukraine’s critical infrastructure," Baerbock stressed.
To do this, she added, the IRIS-T air defence system network must be strengthened in Ukraine.
"We should encourage our partners to hand over the air defence systems they have to Ukraine for the winter season – temporarily, if needed," Baerbock said.
Earlier Baerbock arrived in Kyiv on her fourth visit since the beginning of the Russian aggression.
She also discussed the provision of additional air defence systems to protect the Ukrainian energy system and ports with her Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba.
Baerbock also visited an electricity substation near Kyiv.
