Ukraine's Finance Ministry reveals amount of aid from US that Ukraine may receive by end of 2024
The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance expects to receive US$3.3 billion from the US in 2023 to cover the Ukrainian state budget deficit, and US$12-14 billion in 2024, which will also be used to finance the state budget.

Details: Marchenko said Ukraine's Ministry of Finance hopes that the US interim budget will be approved shortly and the country will receive another US$3.3 billion by the end of this year to cover the Ukrainian state budget deficit.
Marchenko also noted that the Finance Ministry hopes to receive the same funding from the US for the state budget in 2024 as it did this year.
"Not less than this year: somewhere between US$12 billion and US$14 billion. This is what we are working on," the minister said.
However, he said, there is still much uncertainty in this regard.
"We hope the US will be there for us in 2023 and 2024," Marchenko concluded.
The finance minister stated that external financing of Ukraine's state budget amounted to US$42 billion this year.
He stressed that these funds do not work for the economy: US$35 billion was used to cover the balance of payments deficit, while the rest increased reserves and paid off debts.
