Details: The Ukrainian president noted that these were not his first talks with Biden on this topic.
"We are moving. I hope we will get it [the ATACMS missiles] in autumn. For us, it’s very important not to do the pause in this counteroffensive. And I need it very much," he added.
Background: The Financial Times recently reported that President Biden is close to making a decision on transferring long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.
Kyiv has long been asking the US for ATACMS missiles, allowing Ukraine to strike deeper into the Russian rear.
Earlier, the US media learned that a decision on ATACMS missiles for Ukraine may be made shortly, and they may be included in one of the next aid packages.
