Ukraine's Armed Forces advance in vicinity of Klishchiivka and Andriivka, near Bakhmut

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence, has reported that Ukraine’s Armed Forces have had some success near Klishchiivka and Andriivka on the Bakhmut front. Ukrainian forces on this front managed to liberate two square kilometres last week.

Details: Maliar reported that Ukraine’s Defence Forces are pushing Russian forces out of their positions near Klishchiivka and Andriivka on the Bakhmut front and that the Ukrainian forces have made "certain advances".

Maliar said 49 square kilometres of territory near Bakhmut have been liberated during the counteroffensive.

On the southern front, Ukrainian troops successfully advanced near Robotyne and Verbove last week: "During offensive actions last week, we had successes south of Robotyne and west of Verbove."

Ukraine’s Armed Forces are consolidating their positions there.

Maliar reported that Ukraine’s Armed Forces liberated 1.5 square kilometres in the south during the past week, "There is progress, certain successes. Over the past week, we have liberated 1.5 square kilometres there [in the south – ed.]."

Maliar added that the Ukrainian troops are facing serious obstacles from the Russian side, but in some places the Ukrainians have broken through the Russian "first line of defence" and "our [Ukrainian – ed.] troops are moving forward".
