Russian attack on Khmelnytskyi Oblast: Father of two children dies while dealing with aftermath
Serhii Lysiuk, a resident of the Starokostiantyniv hromada of Khmelnytskyi Oblast, has died while dealing with the aftermath of a Russian attack. [Hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Background:
- On Saturday evening, Russian troops launched Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from Russian Tambov Oblast and Belarus. Ukraine’s Air Force specified that the missiles were flying in the direction of the city of Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
- Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on a hit in Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
- There were about 10 explosions, smoke was visible over the city, and windows were broken in Starokostiantyniv during the air-raid warning on Saturday evening,
- Overall, since the evening of 5 August, Khmelnytskyi Oblast has been attacked three times by the Russians; numerous buildings and a bus station were damaged, and a warehouse caught fire.
