Khmelnytskyi Oblast Military Administration reveals consequences of three rocket attacks over past 24 hours

The Russians have attacked Khmelnytskyi Oblast three times since the evening of 5 August, damaging buildings and a bus station and causing a fire in a warehouse.

Quote from Tiurin: "The enemy has attacked Khmelnytskyi Oblast three times since yesterday evening.

The enemy would not give the Starokostiantyniv airfield a break.

There was a series of explosions in Starokostiantyniv and Khmelnytskyi hromadas.

Most of the missiles were shot down by air defence forces.

At the same time, the blast wave damaged the roof, doors and windows of several private residential buildings in the Starokostiantyniv hromada, and smashed windows in one of the municipal cultural institutions, at the bus station and in commercial premises."

Details: In addition, as a result of the Russian attack, a fire broke out in a corn waste warehouse near a grain elevator in the Starokostiantyniv hromada.

The fire in the warehouse which spread over an area of 1,400 square metres was extinguished. An employee of the facility was injured in the explosion.

Background:

At the time of the missile attack on Saturday, the Air Force specified that Kinzhal supersonic missiles were flying in the direction of the city of Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi Oblast.

Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported the attack on the city of Khmelnytskyi.

About ten explosions were heard in Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, during an air-raid on Saturday evening [5 August]. Smoke was visible over the city, and windows in some districts were smashed.
