The Armed Forces of Ukraine killed 590 Russians on 5 August.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 6 August 2023 are estimated to be [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:
- manpower ‒ about 249,700 (+590),
- tanks ‒ 4,237 (+5) units,
- armoured personnel carriers ‒ 8,262 (+11) units,
- artillery system – 4,965 (+22) units,
- multiple-launch rocket systems – 705 (+1) units,
- air defence systems ‒ 466 (+0) units,
- aircrafts – 315 (+0) units,
- helicopters – 311 (+0) units,
- tactical UAVs – 4,126 (+10) units,
- cruise missiles ‒ 1,359 (+12) units,
- ships/speedboats ‒ 18 (+0) units,
- automotive vehicles and tank trucks – 7,441 (+19) units,
- special equipment ‒ 734 (+4).
