Ukrainian Air Force destroys over 3,500 Russian air targets since start of war
The Ukrainian Air Force has destroyed over 3,500 Russian air targets since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, mainly 350 aircraft and helicopters and over 2,000 drones.

Quote: "The Air Force has destroyed over 3,500 Russian air targets – 350 aircraft and helicopters, 1,200 cruise missiles and 24 ballistic missiles, more than 2,000 drones and 13 ‘peerless’ Kinzhal missiles ."
Details: Oleshchuk added that in a year and a half of the war, over 3,200 members of the Air Force have been decorated with state awards, and 40 of them have received the title of the Hero of Ukraine.
Despite the air superiority of the Russians in the occupied territories of Ukraine, Ukrainian pilots have been able to conduct over 14,000 combat flights.
Note: Ukrainian Air Force Day is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of August. The holiday was introduced by the Presidential decree "On the Day of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" of 27 June 2007.
