Russian forces hit Sumy Oblast 15 times over 24 hours, killing civilian
The Russian forces carried out 15 attacks on the border hromadas of Sumy Oblast on 5 August, with 119 explosions recorded and 13 settlements in 7 hromadas struck (hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.). A local resident was killed, and destruction was caused.

Details: A mortar attack was reported in Krasnopillia hromada (16 explosions).
The Russian troops attacked Bilopillia hromada with artillery (13 explosions) and a grenade launcher (19 explosions).
A mortar attack (3 explosions) was recorded in Yunakivka hromada.
Another mortar attack (30 explosions) was also recorded in Esman hromada.
The Russian army fired on the Seredyna-Buda hromada with a mortar (2 explosions).
The Russians hit the Shalyhyne hromada with artillery (11 explosions).
Artillery strikes (11 explosions) and grenade launcher attacks (14 explosions) were reported in the Nova Sloboda hromada.
The Sumy Oblast Military Administration reported that a local resident was killed in one of the attacks, and a private residential building and an outdoor kitchen were damaged.
