Details: The Russian Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre told RIA Novosti that the Russian tanker attacked by a USV drone near Crimea had a hole in it, but there was no threat of the vessel sinking.

The media outlet said the crew remains on board, with no injuries reported.

TASS, citing the Russian Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transportation, noted that the SIG tanker had suffered a breach in the engine room area.

"The vessel was on the southern approach to the Kerch Strait. The ship is afloat. SBS Mercury and NIS Impulse, the vessels of the Azov-Black Sea branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Morspassluzhba [Marine Rescue Service], were sent towards it," the agency reported.

Earlier, the Russian Telegram channel Baza posted photos from inside the damaged tanker.
