Countries to share responsibility for peace formula points during meeting in Saudi Arabia
More than 40 states participating in the meeting in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday and Sunday will share responsibility for individual points of the Ukrainian peace formula.
Source: Ihor Zhovkva, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this in an interview with Radio Svoboda, European Pravda reports.
Details: Speaking about the role of the participants in the Jeddah meeting, Zhovkva explained that not all states will participate in the implementation of all 10 principles of the Ukrainian peace formula, and this is "absolutely normal".
Quote: "Therefore, one of the tasks of the summit in Jeddah will be the distribution of responsibilities between the countries regarding joint implementation or co-leadership for this or that point," he added.
"If China talks about nuclear safety, then China can absolutely, for example, be a co-leader in the first point on nuclear safety. And if Brazil is concerned about environmental issues, it can easily be a co-leader, co-organizer in point number eight," Zhovkva explained.
Zhovkva added that none of the leaders objected to the necessity of the Ukrainian peace formula and noted that there are fewer and fewer alternatives being suggested.
