Ukrainian defenders hit Russian Solntsepyok heavy MLRS – General Staff report

Ukrainian Defence Forces struck a TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy multiple-launch rocket system, four anti-aircraft missile systems and nine clusters of Russian military personnel over the past day.

Details: Russian forces launched a total of 5 missile and 60 air strikes over the past day and carried out 68 attacks from multiple-launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. The Russian terrorist attacks unfortunately resulted in casualties among the civilian population, both dead and wounded. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russian forces conducted airstrikes near Kostobobtiv in Chernihiv Oblast and Udy and Zybyne in Kharkiv Oblast. They carried out mortar and artillery attacks on over 25 settlements, including Semenivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Mefodivka, Volfyne, Obody, Kostiantynivka, Khotin and Riasne in Sumy Oblast; and Mala Vovcha, Nesterne, Odradne, Stroivka and Krasne Pershe in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk front, Russian forces conducted airstrikes near Pershotravneve, Kyslivka and Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast. The settlements of Kurylivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne and Pishchane in Kharkiv Oblast came under Russian artillery and mortar attacks. 

On the Lyman front, Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Novoiehorivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast. They also launched airstrikes near Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Tverdokhlibove and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Spirne in Donetsk Oblast. Over 20 settlements came under Russian artillery fire.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Bhdanivka, Kurdiumivka and Ozarianivka in Donetsk Oblast. They carried out airstrikes near Klishchiivka, Druzhba and Pivdenne in Donetsk Oblast. Over 25 settlements were affected by Russian artillery attacks. 

On the Avdiivka front, Russian forces launched an airstrike near Avdiivka. The settlements of Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Nevelske and Karlivka in Donetsk Oblast came under Russian artillery and mortar fire. 

On the Marinka front, Ukraine’s Defence Forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive actions near Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast. Russian forces conducted airstrikes near Krasnohorivka and Marinka in Donetsk Oblast. The settlements of Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Hostre, Dachne and Oleksandropil in Donetsk Oblast were hit by artillery fire.

On the Shakhtarsk front, Russian forces conducted airstrikes near Staromaiorske in Donetsk Oblast. The settlements of Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne and Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast were affected by Russian artillery attacks.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, Russian forces conducted airstrikes near Zaliznychne and Verbove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Over 20 settlements were affected by artillery shelling.

On the Kherson front, over 10 settlements were affected by Russian artillery fire.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation on the Melitopol front, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery operations.

During the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force launched eight strikes at areas where Russian military personnel were concentrated and four strikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems. 

Units from Rocket Forces and Artillery hit a cluster of Russian military personnel and a TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy multiple-launch rocket system.
