Details: An embassy statement said it perceived the presence of Bosnian representatives at the summit as an "openly hostile act" and an attempt on the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, and Russia "reserves the right to respond to unfriendly actions".
As the Balkan Observer reports, Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented at the summit by Željko Komšić, Chairman of the Presidency, and Denis Bećirović, another member of the Presidency who arrived in Kyiv with him. During their visit to Kyiv, they met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and paid tribute to the civilians killed by the Russian occupying forces in the city of Bucha, Kyiv Oblast.
In his speech, Komšić stressed that Crimea is the territory of Ukraine and that there can be no compromise on the inviolability of borders. He concluded his speech with the salute, "Glory to Ukraine!"
This year, Serbia joined the Crimean Platform for the first time, with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić delivering a speech.
The Russian embassy or the Foreign Ministry has reportedly voiced no public dissatisfaction with Serbia’s participation.
On 24 August, the Russian ambassador to Serbia met with Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić.
