Ukrainian defenders kill 340 Russians and destroy 20 UAVs in one day

Russia has lost 340 more servicemen, 20 UAVs, 23 armoured combat vehicles and other equipment in the war against Ukraine over the past 24 hours.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 24 August 2023 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

  • approximately 259,160 (+340) military personnel;
  • 4,375 (+2) tanks;
  • 8,511 (+23) armoured combat vehicles;
  • 5,333 (+15) artillery systems;
  • 723 (+1) multiple-launch rocket systems;
  • 494 (+3) air defence systems;
  • 315 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
  • 316 (+0) helicopters;
  • 4,344 (+20) tactical UAVs;
  • 1,406 (+0) cruise missiles;
  • 18 (+0) ships/boats;
  • 7,773 (+28) vehicles and tankers;
  • 801 (+1) special vehicles and other equipment.
