Delegation of parliamentarians from 14 countries and European Parliament to visit Ukraine
Members of parliaments from 14 countries and the European Parliament will visit Ukraine on Wednesday, 23 August, and Thursday, 24 August.

Details: Marko Mihkelson, Chairman of the Estonian Parliament's International Affairs Committee, has said the international delegation's goal is to express strong support for Ukraine during the visit, which falls on the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day and on Independence Day itself.
The meetings with the MPs and the government will discuss the security situation and provision of assistance to Ukraine to ensure a strategic victory over Russia and its aggressive war. The issue of bringing Russia to justice and compensation for the damage caused by the aggression will also be considered.
The 25-member delegation will meet in Kyiv with Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament, and heads of parliamentary commissions and attend a session of the Ukrainian Parliament. Furthermore, the delegation is expected to meet with Olha Stefanishyna, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Yevhen Perebyinis, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Shevchenko, Deputy Defence Minister, and Oleksii Serhieiev, Deputy Interior Minister.
During the two-day visit, the delegation will also participate in the third summit of the Crimean Platform diplomatic summit, to be held in Kyiv. The MPs will visit the airfield in Hostomel and the city of Irpin, located near Kyiv, on 24 August, Ukraine's Independence Day.
The visit will be attended by delegates from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the European Parliament, all members of the United4Ukraine global parliamentary network established to support Ukraine.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda reportedly arrived in Kyiv on the morning of 23 August to participate in the celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day on 24 August.
Earlier, Kajsa Ollongren, Head of the Dutch Defence Ministry, visited Ukraine and presented a model of an F-16 fighter jet to her Ukrainian counterpart, Oleksii Reznikov.
