Over 30 combat clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces over past 24 hours – General Staff report
Over 30 combat clashes occurred between the Ukrainian defence forces and the Russian occupiers on 22 August.

Quote: "Last night, the Russian Federation carried out another airstrike on Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones. Information about the aftermath of this terrorist attack is being established.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has launched 4 missile and 58 air strikes, and fired 60 times from multiple-launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and wounded. Residential buildings and other civil infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
The possibility of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

Details: The operational situation on the Volyn and Polissia fronts remained unchanged.
On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russian forces launched an airstrike near Popivka in Chernihiv Oblast. Over 20 settlements were hit by mortar and artillery fire, including Bleshnia, Karpovychi and Orlykivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Rozhkovychi, Seredyna-Buda, Myropilske and Riasne in Sumy Oblast; and Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory and Chuhunivka in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the Kupiansk front, the settlements of Berestove and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi in Kharkiv Oblast and Tverdokhlibove in Luhansk Oblast came under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, Russian forces conducted airstrikes in the areas of Serebrianka Forest in Luhansk Oblast and Vesele in Donetsk Oblast. About 15 settlements, including Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Zvanivka, Serebrianka, Siversk, Vesele, Spirne and Fedorivka in Donetsk Oblast, were hit by Russian artillery fire.
On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces conducted an airstrike near Ivanivske in Donetsk Oblast. Over 20 settlements, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Dyliivka and New-York in Donetsk Oblast, were affected by Russian artillery fire.
On the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops near Avdiivka. The settlements of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Tonenke and Umanske in Donetsk Oblast were hit by artillery fire.
On the Marinka front, the Ukrainian defence forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the area of Marinka in Donetsk Oblast. Russian forces conducted an airstrike near Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Oblast. The settlements of Marinka, Pobieda, Yelyzavetivka, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Kostiantynivka and Antonivka in Donetsk Oblast came under artillery fire.
On the Shakhtarsk front, Russian forces conducted airstrikes near Vodiane and Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast. Over 15 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Vremivka, Makarivka and Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast, were affected by Russian artillery fire.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russians carried out airstrikes near Mala Tokmachka, Yehorivka and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Over 15 settlements, including Poltavka, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Bilohiria, Chervone and Zatyshshia in Zaporizhia Oblast, came under Russian artillery fire.
On the Kherson front, Russian forces conducted an airstrike near Romashkove in Kherson Oblast. Novovorontsovka, Kherson, Bilozerka, Veletenske and Komyshany in Kherson Oblast were hit by artillery fire.
At the same time, Ukrainian defence forces continue to conduct an offensive operation on the Melitopol front, consolidating their positions and carrying out counter-battery operations.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force carried out 11 strikes on areas where Russian military personnel were concentrated and 2 on anti-aircraft missile systems.
Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery units struck three clusters of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, two ammunition storage points, one command post, an artillery system at its firing position and one heavy TOS-1A flamethrower system belonging to the Russians.
