Ukrainian defenders destroy 12 Russian tanks and kill 460 invaders in a day

Russia continues to suffer losses in its war of aggression against Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have killed 460 Russians and destroyed 19 Russian artillery systems, 14 armoured combat vehicles and 12 tanks in the past day alone.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 21 August 2023 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:
- approximately 257,930 (+460) military personnel,
- 4,358 (+12) tanks,
- 8,449 (+14) armoured combat vehicles,
- 5,264 (+19) artillery systems,
- 719 (+2) multiple-launch rocket systems,
- 489 (+0) air defence systems,
- 315 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft,
- 316 (+0) helicopters,
- 4,309 (+5) operational-tactical UAVs,
- 1,406 (+0) cruise missiles,
- 18 (+0) ships/boats,
- 7,692 (+12) vehicles and tankers,
- 794 (+4) special vehicles and other equipment.
