Night attack on Khmelnytskyi Oblast: number of damaged buildings rises to 400
Authorities have reported that as of 14:00 on Saturday, 19 August, about 400 buildings had been damaged as a result of the Russian attack on Khmelnytskyi Oblast on the night of 18-19 August.

Details: Tiurin said administrative buildings, schools and utility facilities, as well as hundreds of private houses of residents in Medzhybizh and Derazhnia hromadas had been damaged. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories - ed.]
Tiurin reported that there were no casualties caused by the Russian attack on Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
Quote from Tiurin: "The amount of material damage is currently being established. Commissions created in hromadas are currently working on the ground to examine and record the aftermath of the nighttime enemy attack.
Distribution points for building materials allocated from hromadas reserve funds have been set up. In addition, work on receiving assistance from our international partners is ongoing."
Background:
- Russian forces attacked Ukraine using drones on the night of 18-19 August. Air defence forces shot down 15 of 17 Shahed drones.
- At first, authorities reported that the blast wave damaged about 30 houses in several villages in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. There was information about eight victims: two women were wounded by glass fragments, and six people went to doctors in shock.
