Zelenskyy accepts credentials from new ambassadors of Germany and Sweden
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accepted credentials from the newly appointed ambassadors of Germany, Martin Jäger, and Sweden, Martin Öberg.

Details: Zelenskyy accepted the credentials during a solemn ceremony on the territory of the Sofia Kyivska National Reserve in the capital.
In a conversation with German Ambassador Martin Jäger, the head of state noted "the importance of Germany's comprehensive support for Ukraine in repelling the ongoing Russian aggression".
Quote: "The parties praised the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the president of Ukraine to Germany in May this year," the message reads.
Zelenskyy also "emphasised Germany's role in bolstering Ukraine's air defence, in particular by providing IRIS-T systems manufactured in Germany and Patriot systems" and "discussed key priorities for further defence support of Ukraine by Germany, taking into account the needs of Ukrainian defenders on the frontline".
"Special attention was paid to the issues of uniting international efforts around the Ukrainian Peace Formula and Ukraine's integration into the European Union and NATO," the message reads.
In a conversation with Swedish Ambassador Martin Öberg, Zelenskyy "praised the effective solidarity of this country with Ukraine" and "expressed gratitude for the recent adoption by the Swedish Government of the strategy for recovery and reform cooperation with Ukraine for 2023–2027".
The head of state also "expressed hope that Sweden would support the decision to launch negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the EU this year and thanked the official Stockholm for joining the G7 Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine adopted in Vilnius".
"We are extremely grateful to Sweden, to your society. You really help Ukraine a lot. Thank you for the 13th package of defence assistance for our country," said the president of Ukraine.
On Thursday, 20 July, Yevhen Perebyinys, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, received copies of the credentials from Martin Jäger, the new German ambassador to Ukraine.
