Ukrainian defenders down second Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter in one morning
Soldiers from the 47th Mechanised Brigade downed a Russian Ka-52 helicopter in Zaporizhzhia Oblast on the morning of 17 August, making it two Russian Ka-52 attack helicopters that the Ukrainian Defence Forces have destroyed this morning.

Details: A fire team from an anti-aircraft missile and artillery division spotted a Russian Alligator helicopter at around 07:40. They downed the helicopter using a man-portable air defence system (MANPADS).
It was reported that this is already the eighth Ka-52 downed by the 47th Brigade. One such helicopter costs US$16 million.
