Scholz remarked that this also concerns the supply of the Taurus missiles.

Scholz confirmed that technical restriction of the range of the missiles is being considered but he does not want to be rushed with a decision on this matter.

Scholz denied accusations of indecisiveness.

He stated that the majority of citizens consider it right that not every demand to supply armament is approved right away.

The German government stated that preparations for delivering Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine are not currently underway.

The German government is considering the possibility of supplying Ukraine with long-range Taurus cruise missiles from the Bundeswehr stockpile in the coming months.

Spiegel with reference to its sources reported that classified talks with representatives of the defence industry are currently underway, as Chancellor Olaf Scholz wants to make technical modifications to the missiles to prevent Kyiv from striking Russian territory other than Russian-occupied Crimea.
