Russia's latest missile attacks, particularly on Zaporizhzhia, constitute war crimes and must not go unpunished.

Details: The French MEAE stressed that France strongly condemns Russian air strikes on Zaporizhzhia Oblast in Ukraine's south.

Quote: "These attacks once again targeted a residential neighbourhood and civilian infrastructure, illustrating Russia’s contempt for all principles of international humanitarian law, which it flagrantly continues to violate."

Details: Paris emphasised that Catherine Colonna, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, has repeatedly stressed that such actions constitute war crimes and cannot go unpunished.

"France is committed and will remain committed to bolstering its military support for Ukraine, in particular by working closely with its partners to strengthen Ukraine’s air defences."

The European Union regards Russia's latest missile attacks on Zaporizhzhia to be terrorism and war crimes, the European Commission's foreign affairs spokesperson said earlier.
