Russian forces deploy mortars and artillery to attack 6 areas in Sumy Oblast
Over the course of 11 August, Russian forces attacked areas near the Russian-Ukrainian border in Ukraine's Sumy Oblast nine times, damaging residential areas.

Details: A total of 51 explosions occurred in Sumy Oblast.
Nova Sloboda, Seredyna-Buda, Khotin, Krasnopillia, Yunakivka and Velyka Pysarivka hromadas came under Russian attack. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a city, town, or village and its adjacent territory - ed.]
Russian forces deployed mortars to launch seven bombs on the Seredyna-Buda hromada; they deployed artillery in further six attacks on the hromada.
A mortar bomb damaged two households. An explosion also occurred in the hromada as a result of a Russian kamikaze drone attack.
The Russians deployed grenade launchers to attack the Khotin hromada, causing seven explosions there.
They also deployed grenade launchers to attack the Velyka Pysarivka hromada, which saw 18 explosions as a result of these attacks.
Russian forces deployed artillery to fire on the Yunakivka hromada, causing two explosions.
They launched six mortar bombs on the Nova Sloboda hromada.
The Russians also launched mortar bombs on the Krasnopillia hromada, causing four explosions.
