Former Prosecutor General says he is leaving army due to disability

Yurii Lutsenko, former Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the former Prosecutor General, called his appointment as a platoon commander of attack unmanned aerial vehicles an ordinary event that took place against the backdrop of street battles in the suburbs of the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast.

  • Lutsenko himself called his appointment as a UAV platoon commander a routine event, which occurred against the backdrop of street fights in the outskirts of the city of Bakhmut.
  • Back in 2020, Lutsenko revealed that he underwent cancer treatment in Germany. At that time, he was operated on and had a course of chemotherapy ahead.

Yurii Lutsenko held the position of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (2005-2006, 2007-2010), as well as Prosecutor General (2016-2019).
