Head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration reports on victims' condition after attack in Pervomaiskyi

As of the morning of 5 July, seven people who received shrapnel wounds during the shelling of Pervomaiskyi City on 4 July stay in Kharkiv Oblast hospitals.

Details: The Russian army launched an Iskander missile attack on Pervomayskyi on 4 July, at 13:37, injuring 43 people, including 12 children. Eight multi-storey buildings were damaged, cars caught fire.

As of the morning of 5 July, seven people stay in oblast hospitals.

Five of them are in Pervomaiskyi, they are in moderate condition, mostly with shrapnel wounds.

A woman with an eye injury was taken to hospital in Kharkiv, she is in moderate condition.

A one-year-old child is also in the hospital, the condition is of moderate severity.

Background: 

  • On 4 July, an explosion occurred in the town of Pervomaiskyi, Kharkiv Oblast, causing a fire; cars and residential buildings were damaged. 
  • Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin has said that Russian forces carried out an attack on the town centre with an Iskander missile (the Air Force of Ukraine clarified it was an Iskander-K cruise missile).
  • The number of people injured in the missile attack on Pervomaiskyi has risen to 43.
