UAnimals tells what kind of animals were saved thanks to Ukrainian military

During the war, the humanitarian movement UAnimals processed most of the requests for help in evacuating animals coming from the Ukrainian military.

Quote: "As for the rescue of wild and often domestic animals, it is the military that appeals [to the UAnimals movement]. With the help of the military, we evacuated lions, tigers, bears, some domestic animals, and a donkey.

We are regularly faced with the fact that the military calls, writes, catches our evacuation teams, and says: "Take the dog, we saved it, we need to transport it further."

Therefore, the Ukrainian military man tries to protect every life that is near him, even if this life has a tail and a moustache."

Background: The humanist movement UAnimals has been fighting for the rights of Ukrainian animals since 2016.

Until 24 February 2022, the organisation sought a ban on the exploitation of animals in circuses and entertainment and called on Ukrainian designers to abandon the use of fur in their products.

During the full-scale Russian invasion, the focus of UAnimals' work is, in particular, the evacuation of animals from war zones.
