Russians try to regain lost positions in Staromaiorske – General Staff report

The Russians are trying to regain lost position in Staromaiorske. Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing on the Berdiansk and Melitopol fronts, gaining a foothold on the reached borders.

Details: The Air Force of the Defenсe Forces launched seven strikes in the areas where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, and three more on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems during the day.

Units of Rocket Forces and Artillery struck two Russian anti-aircraft missile systems, a heavy multiple launch rocket system TOS-1A Solntsepyok, an artillery device in a firing position and four areas of concentration of Russian personnel.

During the day, Russia launched 9 missiles and 39 air strikes and 35 multiple-launch missile attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population, particularly children. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

During the day, about 30 military clashes took place.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of Russian offensive group formation were found. 

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts,  Russia launched an airstrike in Stepne (Sumy Oblast) and Udiv (Kharkiv Oblast). The Russians carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 30 settlements, including Senkivka, Turia, Bleshnia, Buchky (Chernihiv Oblast); Mefodiivka, Sytne, Starykove, Mohrytsia, Stepok, Riasne (Sumy Oblast); Udy, Veterynarne, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Nesterne and Budarky (Kharkiv Oblast).

On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian soldiers steadfastly hold the defence and successfully repelled Russian attacks east of Berestove (Kharkiv Oblast) and near Novoselivske (Luhansk Oblast). Russia launched an airstrike in the area of Druzheliubivka in Donetsk Oblast. Russia carried out artillery and mortar attacks on more than 10 settlements, including Odradne, Kolodiazne, Kamianka, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk and Zapadne (Kharkiv Oblast).

On the Lyman front, Russia launched airstrikes north of Serebrianka and near Spirne (Donetsk Oblast). Artillery attacks were carried out on the settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast), and Torske, Verkhnokamianske and Spirne (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Bakhmut front, more than 10 settlements were affected by Russian artillery attacks, including Rozdolivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Predtechyne and Bila Hora (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Avdiivka front,  Russia launched airstrikes on New-York and Avdiivka. Russia continues to carry out attacks on settlements, in particular, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske and Karlivka (Donetsk Oblast) came under fire.

On the Marinka front, Russia launched an airstrike on Krasnohorivka. The Defence Forces continue to restrain the offensive of Russian troops in the areas of Marinka and Pobieda. Russia carried out artillery attacks on several settlements, including Marinka, Pobieda, Heorhiivka and Hostre (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Shakhtarsk front, Russia launched airstrikes on Vuhledar, Blahodatne and Staromaiorske. In Staromaiorske, Russia made unsuccessful attempts to regain their lost positions. The attacks on the settlements of Vodiane, Vuhledar and Blahodatne in Donetsk Oblast continue.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, Russia focuses on concentrating their efforts on preventing further advance of Ukrainian troops. Russia launched airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Malynivka and Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast). More than 35 settlements were shelled, including Levadne, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Orikhiv, Stepove and Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia Oblast); Dmytrivka and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv Oblast); Mykhailivka, Dudchany, Beryslav, Lvove, Kherson and Dniprovske (Kherson Oblast). 

At the same time, Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation on the Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts, gain a foothold on the reached lines, inflict artillery fire damage on identified Russian targets, and carry out counter-battery warfare measures.

The Russian occupiers continue to use civilian infrastructure on the territory of temporarily occupied settlements. Russia placed about 100 Russian servicemen on the premises of the mining dispensary in Nyzhnii Naholchyk, Luhansk Oblast, and more than 100 Russians were placed in the buildings of an educational institution in the village of Semykozivka, Luhansk Oblast.
