Blackmail by Russian occupiers at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has recently escalated because of the counteroffensive by Ukrainian forces.

Quote: "Now it is quite obvious that there is a certain escalation in this blackmail by Russia, and I think it is definitely connected with the development of the counteroffensive... They [the Russians – ed.] are trying to raise the degree of tension quite significantly.

The very fact that they are at the plant is a threat, so... the threat can be implemented at any time."

Details: Halushchenko stressed that there is no evidence of any radiation accidents at the ZNPP.

The minister also pointed out that there are currently four IAEA inspectors at the ZNPP but they are unable to access all the plant’s facilities, which, as Halushchenko noted, results in a lack of information.

Quote: "Therefore, they also receive a limited amount of information, and this is a big problem. Because we, Ukraine... we are cut off from the official monitoring of what is happening there. We have only one official source, and that is the IAEA experts."
