Details: Reuters noted that on the night of 23-24 July, the Russian attack injured seven people and damaged infrastructure along the Danube, which is a vital alternative route for Ukrainian grain after the suspension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
Based on ship tracking data from the analytical company MarineTraffic, Reuters estimated that about 29 ships, including chemical tankers, have stopped near Izmail.
Three other vessels have also anchored along the waterway leading to the Reni-Odesa terminal.
Insurance industry sources told Reuters that war risk coverage for Ukraine's ports, which was part of the previous grain deal, has been suspended. On Monday, three sources said that some suppliers are also considering whether to continue providing coverage for ports on the Danube.
