Russian forces ruin Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa
The Transfiguration Cathedral was destroyed in another Russian attack on Odesa on early 23 July.

Details: The city council reported that, in addition to severe damage to the building, Orthodox shrines have been damaged; the Kasperivska Icon of the Virgin Mary, the patron saint of Odesa, was pulled out from under the rubble.
Emergency workers and city utilities are working at the scene of the attack.

For reference: The Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa is the largest Orthodox religious building in the city; it was founded in 1794 and consecrated in 1808.
