Quote: "The coalition is being formed on the principle of ‘train and equip’, which is used in the framework of military training assistance to Ukrainians provided by Lithuania together with Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and, soon, Denmark."
Details: As Anušauskas explained during the Ramstein-format meeting, the mine clearance coalition will consolidate and coordinate current and planned assistance to Ukraine in this area. He invited other states to join and provide assistance.
Anušauskas has explained that members of the mine clearance coalition can provide instructors to train Ukrainian bomb disposal experts or some equipment for clearing mines.
Anušauskas has also informed the press that the NASAMS launchers, which the country purchased for Ukraine at its own expense, will arrive this autumn. Vilnius's total contribution to help Kyiv in July totaled €24 million.
