Russians fire at over 20 settlements in Ukraine's south in one day – General Staff report

More than 20 settlements suffered from Russian shelling on the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, where the Ukrainian army is mounting an offensive.

Quote: "On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the enemy focuses their main efforts on preventing the further advance of our troops.

[The Russians – ed.] carried out an airstrike in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv and Piatykhatky, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. They also carried out artillery shelling of more than 20 settlements, including Vilne Pole, Vremivka in Donetsk Oblast; Zaliznychne, Lobkove, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Synelnykove and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; Burhunka, Sadove, Berehove, Rozlyv in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson, as well as Ochakiv in Mykolaiv Oblast.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol and Berdiansk front, defending reconquered frontiers, inflicting fire damage from artillery and carrying out counterbattery measures."

Details: 18 combat clashes have been recorded in five areas where the Russians concentrated their main effort during the day on 18 July. This applies to Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka fronts.
