The Russian investigators are considering an alternative version of the attack on the Crimean Bridge, according to which the "defenders of the bridge" had to shoot at water scooters loaded with explosives.

Details: The Investigative Committee of Russia, which has been dealing with the previous attack on the bridge since October of last year, has initiated another investigation.
According to the investigation, the National Guard of Russia, which was guarding the bridge, noticed two explosions under its vehicle passage at 3:15. In five minutes the officer on duty informed all the services about the incident, and the services sent their members to the site of the attack.
Early reports show that the bridge was attacked by surface combat drones. Meanwhile, as Kommersant suggests, the Investigative Committee of Russia is considering the version about the so-called "double terrorist act" as well.
According to this version, the remotely controlled water scooters loaded with explosives were launched at first and were "met with fire by the defenders of the bridge", and this gave the opportunity to launch attacks with "more advanced combat devices".
Recently, anonymous pro-Russian Telegram channels posted a video with what they claimed is "one of the Ukrainian water drones", which is similar to a water scooter, and allegedly full of explosives.
Background:
- Sergei Aksyonov, the so-called head of the Russian administration in occupied Crimea, has said that an "emergency" has occurred on the Crimean Bridge, causing it to be closed to traffic. Russian Telegram channels are reporting that a span on the bridge has collapsed.
- Sources in Ukraine’s Security Service told Ukrainska Pravda that the attack was a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy using surface drones.
- Previously, Russian media stated that the Crimean bridge is guarded by fighter jets from the sky, and by divers and battle dolphins underwater.
- Putin threatens to retaliate for the Crimean Bridge attack.
