Zelenskyy holds Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff meeting: grain, ports, situation at front discussed
On 18 July, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where the issues of port security and grain export were discussed.

Details: Zelensky listened to the reports of Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs, and Yurii Shchyhol, head of the State Special Service, about the fight against Russian UAVs. He also heard reports about Russia's plans from the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, and the Security Service of Ukraine.
In addition, commanders Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and Oleksandr Tarnavskyi reported about the situation on the battlefield.
Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov and Commander of the Logistics Forces Oleh Huliak reported on the dynamics of shell supply.
Zelenskyy thanked everyone for their work and said they are "moving on".
Background:
- On 17 July, the Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov announced the suspension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Russia also announced the withdrawal of the shipping security guarantees under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which ceased to be in effect on Monday, 17 July.
- At the same time, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said he believed that the Russian president actually wanted to extend the grain deal and would talk to him about it.
- Meanwhile, Zelenskyy proposed to Türkiye that the grain corridor under the Black Sea Grain Initiative should continue to function without Russia.
