Ukrainian defenders liberated nearly 18 square kilometres of territory over past week – Deputy Defence Minister
Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar has reported that the Ukrainian forces liberated almost 18 square kilometres of territory in the country’s east and south in a counter-offensive over the past week.

The area liberated during the offensive totalled 210.5 square kilometres."
Earlier: On 16 July, Ukraine’s Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar said that the situation on the eastern front escalated. The Russian forces are actively advancing on the Kupiansk front in Kharkiv Oblast for two days in a row.
Regular advance of Ukrainian forces is observed near Bakhmut.
On the Avdiivka and Marinka front, the Russians continue their offensive operations, but the front line does not change. On the Berdiansk front, the Armed Forces advanced by more than one kilometre.
