Russians launched 6 missile- and 38 airstrikes on Ukraine – General Staff report

During the day, Russian troops have launched 6 missile- and 38 airstrikes on the territory of Ukraine, and carried out about 30 attacks from multiple-launch missile systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

Details: During the day, the Russians inflicted 6 missile- and 38 airstrikes and carried out about 30 attacks from multiple-launch missile systems on the positions of Ukrainian forces and settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, civilians were injured, residential, commercial and administrative buildings damaged, and private road transport was damaged as well. The probability of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

Russian forces continue focusing their main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka fronts, with heavy battles continuing. Over 20 combat clashes took place on these fronts over the past day.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation is without significant changes. There are no signs of formation of offensive groups.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, the Russians maintained a military presence. During the day, they inflicted an airstrike in the area of the village of Shpyl, Sumy Oblast. Mortar and artillery attacks were recorded in over 20 settlements, in particular, Stepne, Popivka, Kozache in Sumy Oblast, as well as Basove, Vysoka Yaruha, Ternova, Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces steadfastly hold the defence. During the day, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations south of Masiutivka and launched an airstrike in the area of Kyslivka in Kharkiv Oblast. Kamianka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kyslivka of Kharkiv Oblast were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Lyman front, the Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensive operations east of the settlement of Vesele in Donetsk Oblast. They inflicted air strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk Oblast, and Siversk in Donetsk Oblast. The settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast were subjected to artillery shelling.

On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all attacks in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka and Ivanivske in Donetsk Oblast. In addition, the Russians made attempts to restore lost positions northwest of Kurdiumivka, Donetsk Oblast, but were unsuccessful. An airstrike was recorded near Pivnichne. Over 10 settlements were affected by artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Druzhba in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka front, the Russians launched an airstrike near Avdiivka. At the same time, they shelled more than 10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast. 

On the Marinka front, the Ukrainian forces continue to hold back the offensive of Russian troops in the vicinity of Marinka. The Russians fired at more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Heorhiivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the Russians made an unsuccessful attempt to recapture lost positions in the northern part of Staromaiorske, Donetsk Oblast. They inflicted airstrikes in the areas of Vremivka, Blahodatne and Makarivka, Donetsk Oblast. The settlements of Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka and Blahodatne were subjected to Russian attacks.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the Russians are concentrating their main efforts on preventing the further advance of Ukrainian troops. An airstrike was carried out in the area of Stepove, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Artillery shelling was recorded in over 15 settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Charivne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as Dudchany, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Berehove, Kizomys in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation on the Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts, are gaining a foothold on the achieved borders, and carry out counter-battery measures.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted 15 strikes on areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, one of which targeted a Russian anti-aircraft missile system.

Units of Rocket Forces and Artillery struck a cluster of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, 9 artillery in firing positions and 2 air defence systems.
