Two explosions could be heard in the city of Sumy after 11:00 on Sunday, 16 July, media reports said.

Prior to the explosion, the Ukrainian Air Force issued a warning that anti-aircraft defence could be operating in Sumy Oblast, targeting Russian drones.
The authorities also reported that a Russian UAV was shot down by air defence forces near the village of Verkhnia Syrovatka, Sumy district at 09:15.
