"This is another proof of our determination to support Ukraine against Russia’s brutal invasion. For my part, I pledge support by opening access to our training infrastructure and courses," he added.

Previously: The member states of the "fighter jets coalition" have agreed that the training of the Ukrainian pilots to fly the Western F-16 fighter jets will start in Denmark in August.

Initially, two groups of pilots – a total of 30-40 people – will be trained: 10-12 pilots and auxiliary staff who will service the aircraft.

Ukraine’s Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that he expected to see the results of the training in the next six months.

Earlier it was revealed that Romania will set up an F-16 training centre for pilots, which will be available to NATO members and allied countries, including Ukraine.
