Training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets to start in August in Denmark, first results may be in six months
The member states of the "fighter jets coalition" have agreed that the training of the Ukrainian pilots to fly the Western F-16 fighter jets will start in Denmark in August.

Details: According to the memorandum adopted by 11 states on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Vilnius, the "fighter jets coalition" will start the training of the Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 fighters in Denmark in August.
Poulsen explained that firstly, the "fighter jets coalition" will select Ukrainians for a language, theoretical and practical training at the Fighter Wing Skrydstrup air base situated in Southern Jutland.
Quote: "We are planning to train two groups at first. This is 10-12 pilots in total and assisting staff who will maintain the jets. This is about 30-40 people."
Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, clarified that he expected to see the results of the training in six months, as reported by the Reuters agency.
Background: Earlier, it was revealed that a pilot training center for flying F-16 fighter jets, which NATO member states and allies may use in the future, will be created in Romania.
