Increasing number of Russians surrender on Tavriia front
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have recorded an increase in the number of Russian soldiers who surrendered on the Tavriia front during the past 24 hours.
Source: Valerii Shershen, spokesman for the Joint Press Centre of the Tavriia Defence Forces, on the national 24/7 newscast
Quote: "Enemy losses of killed, wounded and captured [troops] are very significant... Over the past 24 hours, we recorded 19 surrenders [in the previous 24 hours there were 10 prisoners – ed.] This is the first time such a large number of prisoners has been recorded specifically in the summer and specifically during the Tavriia group’s offensive operations.
This is indicative of low morale and demotivation among enemy personnel. And, of course, that is a success on our side."
Details: Shershen said the Ukrainian military is on the defensive in and around Marinka and Avdiivka in Donetsk Oblast.
