Russians attack Sumy Oblast with unguided rockets and drop bombs

Russian forces fired on the border areas of Sumy Oblast 26 times over the past day (10 July), with 180 strikes recorded.

Details: The hromadas of Bilopillia, Hlukhiv, Druzhba, Esman, Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Seredyna-Buda, and Khotin came under fire [a hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.].

Russian forces fired mortar bombs (6 strikes) and artillery (5 strikes) on the Krasnopillia hromada.

The Khotin hromada was attacked from a helicopter with unguided rockets, with 14 strikes recorded. There was also shelling from multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), with 17 strikes recorded.

Fire from mortars (36 strikes), AGS grenade launchers (11 strikes), artillery (4 strikes) and MLRS (5 strikes) were recorded in the Bilopillia hromada.

Russian forces dropped 4 mortar bombs on the Yunakivka hromada.

The Hlukhiv hromada was bombarded using AGS, with 50 strikes recorded.

The Russians fired at the Druzhba hromada with mortars, with 7 strikes recorded.

Russian forces dropped 9 explosive devices from UAVs on the Esman hromada.

Artillery shelling (6 strikes) was recorded in the Seredyna-Buda hromada.

According to preliminary information from the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, there were no casualties among civilians and no damage to civilian infrastructure facilities.
